Review: The sheer claustrophobia of this film is enough to propel it to high acclaim. This prison thriller / drama pits the viewer against the modern prison underbelly — drugs, beatings, betrayals. The protagonist is due for early parole, but is drawn into a spiral of bad behaviour, culminating in a task that will get him taken off this for sure. The plotting is excellent, with everything woven together perfectly, and the feel is more terrifying than most horrors.
